Relax and enjoy the day as the stockmen guide you through a four hour interactive and authentic outback experience, full of fun, good old Aussie humour and delicious food.

Assemble at the Drovers’ Camp and enjoy Billy Tea and Damper, the traditional refreshment for Stockmen and Drovers.  Early Australian settlers brewed their tea in a billycan. When the water boils, it is removed from the fire, and a handful of tea leaves are added.  This is then left to brew for a few minutes or swung in a large arc to settle the leaves. Damper is the  traditional bushman’s bread originally made from flour, water and salt and cooked in the campfire.

See a sheep muster and a working dog display. A muster is the process of rounding up sheep with the enthusiastic assistance of the the bushman’s most dedicated and furry companion, his dog. Watch the expert stockman control the Australian Kelpies and Cattle Dogs with casual ease.  Crossbred from the native Dingoes, Australian working dogs are loyal, hardworking and intelligent, making them the perfect farmhands.

Enjoy a demonstration by your Aussie Bush shearer in the art of shearing a sheep, conducted in the most unique shearing shed in Australia. Learn about the different grades of wool and the history of the wool industry, on which much of early Australian wealth was built. By 1870, Australia was renowned for “living off the sheep’s back” by being the largest producer of wool in the world. You may also get the opportunity to try your hand at shearing a sheep.

Indulge in a traditional Aussie BBQ lunch with a delicious BBQ steak, salad, tea and coffee.

Experience a demonstration of whip cracking and Boomerang throwing by the local Stockman, then take the opportunity to try it out for yourself!

Travel through the stunning western harbour suburbs of Sydney.  Visit the trendy Balmain and stop at Ballpoint Park for amazing views back across the harbour to Goat Island and Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Enjoy the leisurely drive back to Sydney after your wonderful adventure on one of Australia’s best working sheep farms.
