Visit the oldest wine region in the country - the Hunter Valley - famous for its Semillon and Shiraz grape varieties. With over 140 wineries, chocolate shops, restaurants, golf courses and stunning scenery to choose from, the Hunter is a must for all visitors to see.
Rather then rushing through a lot of wineries we believe seeing only a few is more appropriate so you can spend more time at each one. You will probably get to taste between 6 – 10 glasses of wine at each winery this way!
Our itinerary:
- Personalised, private groups. Just you and your friends or colleagues with your own personal tour guide to see the best that the Hunter Valley has to offer
- Cross the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge and up through the leafy northern suburbs. After leaving Sydney behind us, we then cross the spectacular Hawkesbury River, famous for Sydney rock oysters!
- Visit stunning boutique wineries and sample up to 6 – 10 glasses of wine! Some of the boutique wineries we visit include Iron Gate Estate, Ernest Hill and Savannah Estate
- Visit the Hunter Valley’s first Microbrewery at Potter’s Brewery. Try four of their finest locally made beers – Witbier, Pale Ale, Kolsch and Bock.(included)
- We have several options for lunch:
Oscar's at the Hunter Valley Gardens. Lunch includes delicious gourmet focaccia sandwiches, salad, soft drink or tea and coffee. (Not included - $15pp)
OR - A delicious two course lunch from Peterson's Champagne House. This lunch also includes a tasting tutorial of three of their sparkling wines. (Not included - $40pp)
OR, you can bring your own picnic lunch or we can take you to a variety of superb Hunter restaurants. Ask us for our recommendation - Indulge in some decadent Belgian chocolates at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company!
- Sample some delicious cheeses at the Hunter Valley Cheese Company.
- Opportunity to purchase an authentic boomerang (while stocks last) from Sydney's Dhurag tribe and play the didgeridoo
